I first met T online about 4 years ago. We were both trying to conceive and were using similar methods (fresh donor shipping). We bonded over the process, the disappointments and eventually, as the months started adding up, the pain of ttc. T got pregnant 2 years before we did so our paths parted a bit as she had her son and we were still ttc but we still read each others blogs and left comments. I think of T as one of the originals – one of a group of amazing, supportive women I met in the blog world when I first started ttc.
Now T and her family need our help. As most of you reading this probably know, her beautiful son, BG, was diagnosed with an extremely rare form of leukemia last week. He is just shy of 3 years old and is fighting for his life. He has started chemo and is waiting for a match for a bone marrow transplant. This kind of diagnosis is easily one of the worst nightmares of any parent and T and J need our love and help to navigate these waters.
If you can afford even a small contribution, please click here and donate to the family’s paypal. BG does have health insurance but the financial burden on the family will be huge – the family is facing extended stays at the hospital, buying meals, parking, gas and covering extra medical expenses not included in insurance all on reduced income. Join me in supporting an amazing boy and his moms.
