The nurse called with Fern’s estrogen level this morning and it’s 168, too high to go ahead with this cycle (should have been under 75). I’m indescribably frustrated by this. It feels like we’re sitting out every other cycle these days.
I’m going to start calling you all my brain trust, because you have so far [...]

We met with The Emperor this morning and the appointment actually went well. I might reward him by coming up with a nicer blog name for him…we’ll see if he stays kind.
The K@iser empire is still as much of a conveyor belt factory as ever (for example, you have to carry around a card with [...]

It looks like IUI #1/try #22 didn’t work, we got negative HPTs Saturday and this morning. Fern doesn’t have her period yet, but we expect it soon since her temperatures have also been on the low side.

We are in the slowest 2WW of our established TTC career. It is only 5dpo, a fact which I stand in firm opposition to, yet still seems to be true.
This wait is messing with us for a couple of reasons. Since it’s our first IUI there’s some extra hope pressed into the corners of the [...]

I just got back to work after our first IUI. It was happily uneventful. Fern had some very slight cramping but felt fine. The nurse said the sample looked very good – 19 million swimmers, one of whom will hopefully get the job done. I got to push the syringe which was oddly nerve wracking [...]

We’re back from vacation! I’m going to front load this post with a summary of the pertinent TTC goings on since I last saw you. Each one of these points would have been its own post, but I have been far from the internet for 10 days. It’s your lucky day, I’m condensing and editing!
Fern’s [...]
